Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) The PLC generally meets on the Monday following the monthly camp out each month. The troop is run by its boy leaders. The youth leaders plan the annual, monthly and weekly program, conduct the troop meetings, and provide leadership among their peers with the guidance of the Scoutmaster and his assistants. The Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC), not the adult leaders, is responsible for planning and conducting the troop's activities. The PLC is made up of the following Troop Officers: SPL, ASPL, Troop Guides, and Patrol Leaders (or Assistant Patrol Leaders in the absence of a Patrol Leader). The Troop Scribe, webmaster, instructor and quartermaster participate in the PLC as non-voting members. At its monthly meetings, the PLC organizes and assigns activity responsibilities for the weekly troop meetings. The Troop Committee interacts with the PLC through the Scoutmaster. All rank advancement above First Class requires satisfactory leadership service. Failure to follow through on outings, meetings, special events, or carry out responsibilities may result in the leadership position being transferred to another Scout.
The SPL is elected by all members, the SPL then appoints the ASPLs. The PLs are elected by members of each patrol and the PL then appoints the APL. PLC Minutes Scout leadership for February 2010 - August 2010: Please click on each position to view its description and evaluation form.
