A Scout is Thrifty - Leave No Trace - Pack It In, Pack It Out

Troop 288 will reduce it's impact on the environment by not using disposable dining products. Each scout is required to have his own personal mess gear. This reusable gear can be used at all campouts and back pack trips. Diehard light weight backpackers might go with the minimum of a bowl and spork!

Required Gear: total costs range from $18 and up. Do not buy the aluminum mess kit. You are better off buying sturdy lexan or titanium gear. Scouts will continue to cook in patrol cookware.
